Currently our 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is our daily driver, and every day that we get to take the Jeep out for a ride is a good day. Especially when the top is down!
4WD vs 2WD: The Differences Between Part-Time, Full-Time, Automatic & AWD

It can be confusing to know when to use the four-wheel drive in your Jeep and when not to -- especially if this is your first 4WD vehicle.

For starters, it will help if you know what the differences are between the various types of drive systems, particularly Jeep four-wheel drive systems.

This is especially true since there is a lot of confusion surrounding the terms 4WD, 2WD, Part-Time 4WD, Full-Time 4WD, Automatic 4WD, All-Wheel Drive, and what it means to shift on the fly.

Following are detailed explanations of these types of drive systems and how they work...
But there's no denying that kids love Jeeps, too -- probably even more!

I know the times we've taken our nephew Jeepin' he's had the time of his life, especially when we had the soft top off the Jeep Wrangler.

Yes, You Should Definitely Rent A Jeep In Aruba!

When we went to Aruba in November, we knew ahead of time that we were going to go Jeeping. Still, we waited until the last minute to reserve our Jeep.

As a result, we got what must have been THE last Jeep left to be rented on the island that day!

The lesson: don't wait til the day before to rent your Jeep. Book it a couple days early. Make your reservations through the concierge at your hotel or phone the major Jeep rental companies (like Hertz, Budget, etc) directly.

Jeep rentals in Aruba are reasonable: $50 to $60 for the full day (non-4WD vehicles are much cheaper for the day).

Read: The pros & cons of a Jeep rental vs a Taxi ride in Aruba.

The island is only 19 miles long and 6 miles wide, so as long as you start early in the morning, you're likely to get all of the major sights in. It's a great way to spend a day in Aruba!

<a href="http://jeeps.thefuntimesguide.com/images/blogs/fun-jeeping-in-aruba.jpg" rel="lightbox" title="Having tons of fun riding in a 4WD Jeep Wrangler across the entire island of Aruba.
